In Pattaya one can find many massage shops lined up throughout the city in every street and every soi (lane). Thai massage is very famous worldwide. Along with relaxing on the white sandy beaches under the warm golden sun, one can also rejuvenate and revitalize by opting for the famous Thai massage. The masseurs in Pattaya are properly trained and do their job with excellence. Thai massage is an exclusive art which has been practiced and passed on from generation to generation throughout the country. It is very refreshing when you get your muscles pulled, pushed and kneaded. The tiredness and pain disappears completely and one feels relaxed.

The streets of Pattaya are loaded with big and small massage parlors and one can find pretty girls and ladies waiting to give you a real good massage. Some parlors can accommodate about twenty customers at one time while the smaller ones can cater to a limited clientele. A good Thai massage in any of the shops at the Walking street will cost around 200 Baht, while oil massage will cost about 300 Baht and foot massage around 200 Baht an hour. Most of these shops are open from 10 a.m. till midnight.

Many hotels and spas also offer massages and treatments for tourists. Here you will come across a much more lavish atmosphere with soft music playing in the background and private cubicles are provided for the massages. These places charge you more than twice for the same treatments you might get outside in the streets for half the price.

Thai massage are of three different types-

1. Traditional Thailand Massage
Traditional Thai massage is also known as yoga massage as many aspects of yoga are included in the massage. Thai massage focuses on 10 energy points throughout the body, which are known as ‘Sen’. The masseur uses his hands and body to pressurize these 10 points and reorganize the energy lines of the body. Most of the well trained masseurs will say a brief prayer before starting the massage as they need to focus their energies on your body. Hence, the traditional Thailand massage has a spiritual aspect to it. One of the best places to go for a good traditional Thai massage is to the blind men and women masseuses in Naklua.

2. Oil massage
In oil massage, special therapeutic oils are used to relax the muscle tissues of the body. Various treatments and massages are given using these therapeutic oils. Though this type of massage leaves you a bit oily but it is a great experience.

3. Foot massage
Foot massage is a treat especially when you have had a rough shopping day. There are various pressure points on the sole of our feet and these are used to produce a calming effect on the whole body. The interior organs of the body are treated with these pressure points and help the body to relax.

Apart from these general massages, Thailand also offers some adult and erotic massages. The adult massage parlors are the places visited by single male tourists in the city. These massages might cost you around 300-600 Baht per hour. Soapy massages are very famous among the male tourists of the city. Here around 35-40 stunning, smiling Thai women sit behind a glass wall, waiting to be chosen by someone. These girls wear a number tag and you can have a look at the girls and pick the one you want. These soapy massages cost around 1500-1600 Baht.

Thai massage is a very important part of Thailand and a trip to Thailand is a waste without having experienced the various massages offered here.

It is a land where you get to relax within the bounds of nature and its bounties and high comfort levels of materialism and cultural activities. The natural beauty all around is set off with smiling, helpful people of the country, which has tourism as its main source of income.
Thailand is a tourist destination which has all kinds of activities thrown in: be it the golf courses, elephant rides, traditional dance shows, transvestite shows, water sports, shopping at the night bazaars or relaxing body and foot pressure point massages. There is definitely something for everyone here. Thailand has hotels and resorts to suit all budgets ranging from $12 onwards.
Thailand can be divided into four regions:
The North Thailand is full of forests and wild, natural beauty with elephant sanctuaries, mountain climate, tribal life, trekking and adventure. Hotels in this area are cheaper than the rest of Thailand and so is the shopping.Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai,Mae Hong Son.
The North East part of Thailand is the least visited area. It has not been developed like other areas due to lack of visitors.
Central Thailand has Bangkok the main hub of all activity for all visitors. It is used as a base by most travelers to explore the rest of the country. This buzzing city ,full of gleaming steel and glass skyscrapers, beautiful temples, colorful marketplaces, exotic nightlife and amazing shopping malls seems to have a special energy and life of its own.
Southern Thailand has clear blue sea and all kinds of water based activities from scuba diving to fishing and the beach resorts all cater to the traveler’s every fantasy. The beaches are clean and silvery sands are a delight for the visitor.
Thailand hotels cater to the pockets of all travelers with 3, 4 and 5 star hotels all over the country at affordable rates. Breakfasts, half day city tours and airport transfers are all thrown in for free for the visitor in most hotels. The beach resorts and the island tours are a delight as they make you feel like a king. The various islands are all about an hour or two away from the mainland but are a treat to the eye with clear waters, snorkeling, deep sea activities and lush silver sandy beaches. A lot of hotels and resorts give discounts which could make the customer very happy. The quality of these hotels and resorts is of a good standard and the Thai hospitality is never lacking.
Hotels in all cities including Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, Koh Samui, Krabi or the islands are all very commercially perfect as this country sustains its economy only by tourism. Provisions are made to ensure maximum comfort and convenience to the traveler. The discounts offered by the Thailand Hotels and resorts at this current time are unbelievable as the global recession is causing problems. Bonus free night package offers are available and the smart traveler can extend his dollar a long way with just a little effort while making his bookings. Thailand vacation once a year is a must for most families as well as single males. The golden sun, white sand beaches and busy nightlife make it a very popular vacation spot.

The Pattaya beach, a cosmopolitan seashore buzzes with activity. Relaxing and enjoying is all one needs to do on a holiday to a place like Pattaya. Pattaya beach can be divided into various regions, beginning from Pattaya Neau or North Pattaya, Pattaya Klang or Middle Pattaya and Pattaya Tai or South Pattaya. The Jomtien beach which extends from South Pattaya is a peaceful and quieter beach. The beautiful beaches are free of cost but you have to pay for services rendered to you. A perfect day on the Pattaya beach would include relaxing idly on the beach, sipping a chilled beer, ordering a delicious sea-food lunch barbequed in front of you and enjoying a number of soothing beauty treatments and massages. There are lots of water sports and activities one can do while on the beach. Swimming, parasailing, water-skiing, windsurfing are just a few of them. The blue sky and the equally blue sea make a breathtaking view. One can see men dressed in floral shirts and shorts and women wearing swimsuits, bikinis lazing around on the beach, trying to get a good tan. Many Pattaya girls, waiting to give people the famous Thai massage are also seen chilling out at the beach. Each divided region of the Pattaya beach has its own charm and beauty. The beach in North Pattaya also known as Pattaya Neau is the most serene and calm beach of Pattaya. This is the place, where one can just relax and be alone. There are many old hotels lined up on this brown sandy shore. The Dusit resort lies here. At the southern end of this beach lies a hill that extends straight into the sea. Pattaya Klang or Middle Pattaya beach is to the south of North Pattaya. It is the most happening and crowded beach in the city. This lively beach is in the center of the city where pubs, shopping malls, stalls, restaurants throng the roads. One can see people relaxing, swimming or enjoying various water sports on this beach during the daytime. The beach looks equally good at night because of the brightly illuminated streets, pubs and restaurants along the shore. Pattaya Tai or South Pattaya region of Pattaya beach does not have a lovely beach like the other areas of the city instead it is well known for the nightlife, pubs, discotheques and shops along the coast that become the centre of attraction of most tourists at night time. This is the place where one looks for some fun after dark. There is a hill known as Pratumnak Hill that is at the southern end of South Pattaya. On the other side of the Pratumnak Hill is the very famous Jomtien Beach. It is a straight 6km sandy shoreline that is the main residential area of the city. Innumerous hotels, resorts, bungalows, condominiums, shops and restaurants are located on this beach. The most distinctly visible landmark of Jomtien is the Pattaya Park Tower, having 56 floors and a water and amusement park. This beach has all the activities that one could do in Middle Pattaya, but it is more secluded and isolated. Its distance from the main city makes the accommodations relatively cheaper. At the northern end of Jomtien beach lies the Dongtan beach which is closed to vehicles during the daytime. This beach is more calm and peaceful than any of the main beaches. Food and drinks are delivered right to your chair on your beach. Pine trees line the shore and make it an excellent place to laze around. To the immediate north of Pattaya lies the Naklua beach which marks the end of Pattaya and the beginning of an area known as Naklua. The word Naklua means salt fields. It is the perfect place for people who want to stay far off from the buzz of the city. The beach is secluded and clean. This area does not have any expensive hotels and restaurants but it has a few old houses, temples and traditional restaurants. Wong Amat is a 3 km curved beach which is only accessible through Naklua. One can hire a deck chair, order delicious food and enjoy looking at the peaceful Pattaya Bay. This place has an enchanting feel. Wong Prachan beach also lies to the north of Pattaya bay. It is a 1 km stretch of sand that is ideal for swimming. There are no vendors here so it is best to carry a picnic basket. A picnic on this exclusive beach can be a real pleasure. Pattaya is a city of lovely sandy beaches and it is the ideal vacation spot to unwind and enjoy. Each beach is unique and has its own beauty. Whether you want to rest, enjoy water sports or are just looking for privacy, you will find a beach that will be perfect for you.

Pattaya go its name from the march of King Taksin and his army to encounter the army of Nai Klom but Nai Klom admired Phraya Tak’s dignified conduct and gave in without a fight. The place where the two armies came across each other was named ‘Thap Phraya’, meaning ‘Army of the Phraya’. A few years later the name was changed to ‘Phatthaya’, meaning ‘wind blowing from southwest to northeast at the beginning of the rainy season’. Now the city is officially called Pattaya.

Pattaya was initially a small fishing village in the 60s. On 26th April1961 around 100 American servicemen fighting in Vietnam came to Pattaya for a holiday, since then Pattaya turned into one of the most popular beach resorts in Asia. The small fishermen’s huts that stood along the beach were in no time replaced by large hotels, resorts and shopping malls. Today there are more than 300 hotels and resorts in the city. Pattaya city has become a major tourist attraction and the residents of the city earn their livelihood because of tourism. Property development is another major business in Pattaya.

The city has been under a special independent system of administration since 1978. Till 2007 the registered population of Pattaya was 104, 3118. Pattaya is a blend of eastern as well as western culture. Most of the inhabitants of Pattaya are of Thai-Chinese origin but a lot of people from the north-east have also settled here due to the flourishing tourism industry of the city. Pattaya has been divided into Naklua Beach, the northern most beach; Pattaya Beach, the main lively beach; the Buddha Hill, to the south of Pattaya beach; Jomtien Beach, lying to the south of the hill and Dongtan Beach. The Big Buddha Hill has a gold painted statue of Big Buddha.

Pattaya city has a tropical dry and wet climate. From November to February, the city experiences a warm and dry climate; from March to May, it has a hot and humid climate whereas June to October is rainy and hot. The elephant is the National Symbol of Thailand for centuries now. Apart from the lovely sandy beaches of Pattaya, there are a number of small islands around Pattaya. These islands are the main scuba diving destinations in Pattaya. Far Islands is one such popular island. Diving in Pattaya is a year round activity as there is good visibility and a rich marine life can be found all year long due to its favorable temperature of the sea which is around 28˚C.

The tunnel which is 105 meters long is divided into four different zones.
